Things to be Thankful for Before Thanksgiving
I have been fortunate to have had great events happen recently that had deep meaning for me. If these events didn't happen, I think I would not be as grateful for everyday occurrences. At my job, I try to ask the people closest to me what the best part of their day is. Their responses were nothing out of the ordinary, but that is not the focus. I am grateful for the people who answer the questions. Over Holiday break, I will spend a decent sum of money to visit my partner. Of course I am grateful for the money that I have to spend for the trip, and for my partner, but I am also grateful for the opportunity I have to spend with him. I could have too much homework to do; I could have family or job obligations; I could live nowhere close to an airport and have to drive to him which would decrease the chances of my trip happening.
